Our knives for Alpine machines are manufactured from premium 1.2379 (D2) steel, machined with CNC technology and hardened in state-of-the-art ovens. They are triple-hardened for optimum microstructure, providing exceptional wear resistance, toughness and strength. For even longer life when processing reinforced materials, we have blades with carbide inserts that last up to ten times longer than standard D2 steel.
